Takuma Johnson

Takuma Johnson is an architect and spatial designer currently practicing in Rotterdam. A licensed architect in the United States, he previously practiced in New York City and Spain, and is a former teaching fellow at Cornell University. Recent work has engaged writing, speculative design proposals, and archival research to consider the potential of multi-scalar, incremental, and participatory design processes in buildings and landscape design by engaging topics such as policy to politics, economics to environmentalism.
Takuma holds degrees from The Berlage Center for Advanced Studies in Architecture and Urban Design (Generation 32, Cum Laude) and Cornell University AAP (B.Arch), and is a Licensed Architect in NY State, USA.
Currently, Takuma is practicing at KAAN Architecten in Rotterdam, NL. Previously, he has practiced at OOZE Architects & Urbanists, Skidmore, Owings & Merill, and RICA* Studio.
